The media heralded the news that a tomato had been genetically modified to yield high concentrations of anthocyanins which may have protective properties against cancer, help in slimming and safeguard eyesight.
All bold claims but yet to be substantiated in humans! It's yet to be proven that it will "beat cancer" read the write up at "Behind the Headlines" and the Cancer Research UK website to see the research behind the news.
